3D Printing
At age 14, my parents gifted me a 3D printer, stipulating that I use it for boat parts. I modified the printer to handle high-temperature plastics and began printing with polycarbonate carbon fiber, ASA, nylon, and other durable, UV-resistant materials. I became proficient in Fusion 360, designing increasingly complex parts with curvature. I started selling custom 3D printed boat parts; most boats we traveled with now feature my creations, and our own boat has countless such components. This was a tremendous learning curve, integrating 3D design and printing into my projects. I am now an expert in FDM 3D printing and CAD design.
Modifications included upgraded extruders and heated enclosures for consistent prints. Custom designs ranged from functional hardware to aesthetic improvements.
