Boat Automation System

One of our boating friends automated his entire vessel and asked me to design a circuit board for a similar system. It featured an ESP32 server connected to ESP32 clients controlling various boat aspects, including relays, shunt resistors for voltage and current monitoring, CAN bus for NMEA 2000 integration, I2C ports for thermistors, and PWM outputs for fans. I tested each component and got them operational. I also created a computer GUI interface and began designing a central control panel with the GUI. Unfortunately, a similar commercial product was released, diminishing my motivation to continue.

The system allowed for automated bilge management and energy monitoring, enhancing safety at sea.
